Cantorial Program
Cantorial Program
When using the “Chazzan” in a contemporary sense we are implying Congregation staff whose primary role is to oversee, plan and lead the musical and artistic elements of corporate liturgy, who helps to lead the congregation in songful prayer. In addition, this role can include broader leadership and pastoral activities such as mentoring and teaching. Cantors craft a consistent, musical identity for each of our communities through an intricate blend of ancient chant, musical artistry and modern melody. Cantors shepherd both families and individuals through all the joys and heartbreaks of the Jewish lifecycle with compassion and sensitivity.
