     Shaliach

     The legal agent is referred to by the terms(shaliach) which means "one who is sent". The person whom the agent is representing is known as the meshaleach or as the sholeach both of which mean "one who is sending". The concept of agency overall or the status of being a shaliach is known as shlichut. The term does not occur in the Bible as a noun, though the verb lishloach ("to send") is frequently used to describe sending a messenger or agent.

   The first shaliacḥ inferred in the Tanach is the servant in Genesis 24 who was sent by Abraham to find a wife for Isaac (according to the rabbis, this servant was named  Eliezer). A shaliach can be sent in order to plant a Congregation, to organize it from the very beginning , then he can also become a rosh kehillah – the head of the congregation.

     The Roles of Roeh (Or a Rosh Kehilah)

     As the senior leader of a Congregation, a Roeh assumes administrative oversight of business operations and facility upkeep. A Roeh schedules meetings with appointed Congregation elders and advisory board members to discuss important matters that may include finances, long-range planning and growing the size of the congregation.

     A Roeh is a servant caregiver who does the following:

1. Teaching/preaching of traditional doctrine;

2. Care giving, such as visitation, counseling, comforting, and taking care of the needs of people;

3. Administration, such as taking care of meetings, putting together a bulletin, and developing programs for the church and evangelism;

4. And finally, serving as ambassador of the Congregation to the community.

     Roeh is the one who cares, shepherds, feeds and is always willing to help the sheep wherever they are.

    Mevasser

     We see the role of a Mevasser is also connected with “Darshan” The Darshan is a Jewish pulpiter and educator. Today, the term usually implies the person giving the sermon/dvar Torah in a synagogue setting. But it has a much deeper, fuller history.

      In Talmudic times, the Darshan was a revered member of the community who could take the heavy teachings of the rabbis and make them applicable to the everyday person, using everyday language. Through charismatic story telling, intellectual discourse, and engagement with the Jewish community, the Darshan could take lofty ideas and bring them to life. Our goal is to revive this ancient role and expanding upon it, educating lay people as para-rabbi spiritual leaders in their own communities.

      A Mevasser is also responsible for announcing the Good News of the Kingdom, thus playing the role of a great Messenger of God in announcing His Torah.

He is also the one who brings people to the Synagogue through the announced message to be taught, discipled and pastored.

    Rabbanim

     A rabbi can be a leader of a congregation – a Rosh Kehilah or a leader of a Yeshiva – a Rosh Yeshiva, but any way he will always have an important role in the Education arena. So we have some functions of a rabbi according to the needs of a community:

Study and teaching

Judging

Legislating

Religious supervision

Pastoral counseling

Celebrating life's events

Outreach, also known as kiruv (bringing close)

    Our rabbis are overseen by our MCHT – Moetzet Chachmei HaTorah, which is a council of rabbis which works in the Executive Department.
